The bridge is easily accessible. You can see the bridge which is right off the road, or park further inside the park and amble back over a foot bridge and step inside the wooden structure. Sadly, there's a lot of personal graffiti but it partially illustrates the age of the building. And while I don't agree with tagging something old, there were many sweet messages from years past. We visited during winter while the river was frozen and could walk under. Cross country skiers passed obviously enjoy that route too.
Show moreAbsolutely gorgeous park. Great place to visit and see the historical covered bridge.
Well worth the visit! There’s graffiti from 1922 that I saw & I bet there’s older. The toilets are immaculate & there’s free barbecues in the surrounding park area, you just need Charcoal & a lighter.
