Summer Sounds Cedarburg 2026: Free Friday Night Concerts

Published July 7, 2026

Cedarburg's free outdoor concert series runs every Friday, June 12–August 21, 2026, at Cedar Creek Park. Full lineup, timing, parking, and where to eat first.

Every Friday night from June through August, Cedar Creek Park fills with lawn chairs, blankets, food carts, and live music. Summer Sounds is Cedarburg's free outdoor concert series, and for a lot of people around here it's the anchor of the whole summer — a standing Friday plan that runs ten weeks straight. This guide has the full 2026 lineup, the timing, where to park, what to bring, and where to grab dinner before the music starts.

The basics

Summer Sounds runs every Friday from June 12 through August 21, 2026, with one break on July 3. It's free. Concerts happen at the band shell in Cedar Creek Park, on Portland Road just east of downtown. An opening act starts around 6:30pm, the headliner takes the stage around 8 to 8:30pm, and the night wraps by 10pm. Food vendors, craft beer, and wine are on site, so you can turn up empty-handed and eat there, or bring your own picnic.

The 2026 lineup

Ten Fridays, ten headliners, spanning tribute acts, brass, country, blues, indie rock, and a few genuinely hard-to-categorize nights. Here's the full schedule:

Getting there and parking

The band shell sits in Cedar Creek Park at N52 W5882 Portland Road. There's no parking lot inside the park — you'll park on the surrounding streets and walk in. On a normal Friday that's easy; on a night with a big headliner, come earlier than you think you need to and be ready to walk a few blocks. Our Cedar Creek Park guide covers the layout, the playground, and the walk down to the creek if you're bringing kids who'll want a break from sitting.

What to bring

Lawn chairs or a blanket are the two things you'll want most — the lawn in front of the band shell fills in early for the popular nights. Beyond that: a light layer for after dark, cash or card for the food and drink vendors, and not much else. Food, craft beer, and wine are sold in the park, so dinner can happen on site. Leashed dogs are welcome on the park paths.

Where to eat before the show

If you'd rather sit down for dinner before the music, downtown Cedarburg is a five-minute walk away. Stilt House Gastro Bar is a solid sit-down option a short stroll from the park.

For a pre-show pint that's about as close to the band shell as it gets, Rebellion Brewing is right in the old mill at the park's north end.

And The Fermentorium is another Cedarburg brewery worth the short hop if you're making a full evening of it. For the complete rundown, see our where to eat in Cedarburg guide.

Make an evening of it

Summer Sounds works best as the centerpiece of a full Cedarburg Friday: dinner or a drink downtown, the concert at the park, and a walk along the creek before or after. The series is run by Cedarburg Festivals, the same all-volunteer nonprofit behind the town's bigger festival weekends — if you're timing a visit, it's worth checking what else is on. See our Cedarburg festivals guide for the full events calendar, or the Cedar Creek Park guide for more on the venue itself.
