Hefner's Frozen Custard & Jumbo Burgers

Great burgers, but staff doesn't seem to pay attention. One of the girls looked right at my order sitting on the counter by the grill and just left it there. There were also two other orders sitting there. All 3 orders had to wait until the other girl finished taking orders.

Hefner’s is a small custard stand located between Cedarburg and Grafton WI. Large “saucer” burgers (prepare to order), chicken and fish sandwiches. Fresh made custards and sundaes. Weekly specials. Daily custard specials (flavors of the days). Small indoor & outdoor sitting area. This establishment has been around a while. Since I was a kid. Was originally an A&W I burger stand. Then became Hefners many years later. This shop is a bit of a copy cat of Kopps Custard stand in terms of the burger size. But more burger varieties to choose from. Certainly a local favorite. A place we have gone to for years.

Fries are kind of soggy and salty. Custard is good. Burgers and chicken out of dry and overcooked. Definitely need to appreciate the nostalgia. This place has been here forever and that regards it hits all the marks.
