Wonderful time at Dorsey’s in the historic downtown of Cedarburg, WI. I was searching for a lunch spot with not just the same old burger and fries. This spot checks all the boxes and has an area dedicated to pre-made take home meals and a front counter full of desserts.
The cafe has a nice selection of cold sandwiches, burgers, wraps, salads etc along with a full line of coffee, lattes, mochas and more. Dorsey’s serves alcoholic beverages too. The vintage looking bar in the center of the room is a great touch.
We ordered the chicken salad sandwich and tuna salad sandwich and asked for both of them to be on wraps. We chose pasta salad and Korean BBQ beef soup as our sides. It was tough to pass up the homemade potato chips though.
Then, of course we had to take home some desserts: triple chocolate brownie, lemon tort, a fancy sounding bread pudding, and this amazing looking peanut butter and chocolate item. Lastly we grabbed an oven-ready tray of BBQ meatballs. It was a tough call between that and the vegetable lasagna.
Service was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Show moreIncredibly warm, friendly & delicious! We came in on a cold afternoon for soup, ended up ordering full dinner items and blown away by how delicious everything was! I got the sea scallops almondine & my husband had the pork masala (which was the special). Both were served over risotto. I couldn’t recommend this more highly. I only wished we had room for dessert, but the servings were so generous it looks like we’ll have to come back!
It’s somewhat casual - but don’t let that fool you into thinking you aren’t getting an exceptional dinner.
Very friendly, served fast, lots of seating. And the town of Cedarburg is like something dreamt up by Norman Rockwell!

Visiting from sunny Florida, we took the 5 minute walk in sultry weather to experience the ambience and excellence of Dorsey's. The staff was genuine, the food amazing (we ordered the Polpette meatballs and Ragu with beef and house marinara), and the dessert was so attractive we had to take three to go.

This is a coffee shop, bar, resteraunt and sells pre made take and bake meals. How cool is that. We had our first lunch here and loved it so much we brought our husband back for dinner. Food was outstanding (made with love) and the coolest part is you seat yourself. Walk up and order when ready.They bring your food to your table, then pay your bill at your leisure. Doesn't get any better than that! Staff was extremely friendly!!!! Can't wait to return.
