Loved this place!
It was an old blacksmith shop..so it has a lot of character and old world ambiance. Their outdoor patio is elevated along the creek with the sounds of a beautiful waterfall adjacent. Our only disappointment was that the fall leaves had yet to turned color. The inside dining was alive with diners. There was an interesting loft dining area as well. We choose to dine outside along the creek. I had the BLTC ..cherry wood bacon, cheddar cheese, tomato, lettuce and mayo on freshly baked dough from their stone hearth oven, fries included. It. was. delicious. I also shared a bowl of the 'Dewey sausage ' soup. It too was very good. Prices were reasonable and we left feeling like hadn't just eaten at 'any of a dozen similar places'.
Highly recommend.
Show moreGreat place for lunch in Cedarburg! The Anvil has amazing sandwiches that I would highly recommend. Their homemade thin bread totally makes the sandwiches. We’ve sat outside a few times now during the summer, and the views are like no other, which the gorgeous river. The staff is super friendly, and the service is fast. Highly recommend the chicken club!
Show moreWent to the Anvil for a Birthday meal and I greatly enjoyed going there. The building itself is old but incredibly well kept homely in a pleasant way, cozy and very clean! The service was good and very patient especially considering I has to wait for my other company to arrive, no problems there! The food was excellent, from the shepherd's pie I got, to the duck wantons and even the mozzarella sticks, all was fantastic to me. I loved it at the Anvil, give it a go if you're in the area you won't be disappointed!
Pictures are of the inside and outside of the building, the decor, the menu, and the food!
Show moreLovely historic building right on the river. The food is great and the service is fast and friendly. They even have a small upstairs area for extra seating where you can look out over the restaurant.
